It was reported recently that the Citizens were offered Ronaldo by his agent Jorge Mendes but at that point, Pep Guardiola’s side were fully focused on bringing Harry Kane to the Etihad.
However, the England captain has since confirmed that he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer and it seems as if City’s attention has switched to signing the 36-year-old Ronaldo, with Romano suggesting on Twitter that:
“Juventus are waiting for Manchester City official bid to arrive in the next hours to reach an agreement as soon as possible. Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave and he won’t be available for next match. Mendes is now discussing Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester City.”
Would Ronaldo be a good signing for City?
Although he will turn 37-years-old next year, Ronaldo has shown very little signs of slowing down in recent seasons, as he hit 29 Serie A goals last season before winning the Golden Boot at the European Championships earlier this summer
