Mason Mount reveals what Romelu Lukaku is like behind the scenes as Chelsea target fresh glory

The England international says Lukaku already shares the club's vision following his £97.5million move from Inter Milan.

Romelu Lukaku has already announced himself to Chelsea fans with a goal and a standout display as he bullied and battered Arsenal's defence in their 2-0 victory at the Emirates last weekend.

Lukaku is back for a second spell at Stamford Bridge after the Blues splashed £97.5million to secure his services from Inter Milan.

The Belgium international's new teammate Mason Mount has already begun to strike up a partnership with him on the field and he revealed that Lukaku is fitting in nicely at the club.

“We are all on the same path. He never stops working hard in training, or in the gym," Mount told The Sun.

“With his vision, his goals, it doesn’t take long to understand each other’s game. It doesn’t feel like a new guy’s come in.

We know he has been here before but that was a long time ago. Even so, like us, he wants to win big things with Chelsea.

“It doesn’t just happen. We have been working on drills around the box, trying to understand each other’s movement. It hasn’t taken long.

“When you have a top player like that and understand each other, we have that link straightaway.”

When you have a top player like that and understand each other, we have that link straightaway.”

Mount is hoping they can combine as well as Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba did in the past to help create a new golden era of trophy success at Stamford Bridge, with the foundations already put in place for that thanks to their Champions League win last season.

“We want to create our own history at the club. With Rom, we know how much he idolises Didier and that is special. The same with me and Frank," added Mount.
