Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that both N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic won’t be playing for Chelsea tomorrow against Aston Villa.
Blues manager Tuchel has revealed in today’s pre-match press conference that two key first-team players are unavailable on Saturday against Villa due to injury problems.
Chelsea have squad depth to cope with injuries
Realistically, Kante and Pulisic would start for pretty much any team in the Premier League when they are on form. It’s a blow not to have either against Villa, but looking around the Blues squad is some comfort.
Pulisic is still fighting to break into the best XI, so Mason Mount and Kai Havertz may have got the nod over him anyway this weekend.
Meanwhile, Kante will be a miss in the centre of the park. However, Saul Niguez, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are three brilliant options for Tuchel to rely on in the midfield.
