Liverpool fans all say same thing about Man City's new David Silva statue

Liverpool fans have taken to social media to joke that Manchester City's new statue of David Silva - which is situated outside the Etihad Stadium - looks more like Reds legend Kenny Dalglish than it does the Spaniard.

The statue, which has been placed on the east side of the ground, has seemingly been designed to show Silva turning on the ball and looking to make a pass.

Instead, many Liverpool fans believe that the statue looks more like Dalglish - with others joking that City have created it to show their appreciation of the Scotsman's success at Anfield.

Mike Appo wrote on Twitter: "Why have City lashed a tinfoil statue of Dalglish outside the Etihad? Did he open the ground for them or something?"

And plenty of other Reds made similar comments:

As well as Silva's, Man City have also unveiled a statue of former captain Vincent Kompany.

City were in action this morning at the Etihad, seeing off Arsenal in a comfortable 5-0 rout to showcase their title credentials.

The Reds take on Chelsea this evening in a crunch clash at Anfield.
