What happened to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba after encounter with Arsenal supporter

Arsenal supporters will rejoice at what happened to former nemesis number one Didier Drogba, a Chelsea legend who was subjected to some vicious bullying.

The Ivorian spent his downtime pursuing a variety of things off the field after retiring from sports. His involvement in the FIFA Qatar World Cup draw earlier this year was his most notable recent accomplishment. Aside from this, the Ivory Coast Football Federation's president, the 2012 Champions League-winning striker who made history on that illustrious Munich night, has been performing his usual duties.

Unfortunately for him, he will not be able to watch his beloved home country compete in Qatar this November as the continent's other qualified nations are Ghana, Tunisia, Morocco, and Cameroon.

The Southern Coast African outfit went out of World Cup qualification at the hands of Cameroon, who topped Group D in the qualifying phase. Nevertheless, having such a prominent and strong relationship with top officials at FIFA will mean he himself will be ever-present in the Middle East for the showpiece event.

Ahead of the kick-off to the tournament, which is fast approaching, Drogba is everywhere at the moment, and a recent encounter with a certain supporter in Kuwait has gone viral. From the look of it, the 44-year-old assumed that he was signing the shirt of a young Chelsea supporter..

Haaland, Pino, Endrick: We Look At Five Starlets Who Have Release Clauses Written Into Their Contracts

Even talented young players are available if a club is willing to pay a reasonable amount, even if release clauses are very uncommon in England.

Every player's contract must include a buyout clause in Spain, which has resulted in the ludicrous situation where players like Gavi, Pedri, Ansu Fati, and Vinicius Jr. all have €1 billion release clauses.

None of these will be the subject of our discussion today. The young people we'll describe can all be had at more affordable costs.

Graham Potter and Chelsea. If only the new manager had a prominent middle name. It'd make the connection nigh on perfect...

AVB, anybody? AVB? Undoubtedly, Potter has Andre Villas-Boas by a good 14 years. The Portuguese did indeed arrive with a much better track record than the current Blues manager. nonetheless, on this level. Chelsea's level, please. The similarities in terms of experience are plain to see.

Additionally, we refer to experience at the Chelsea level. the media's interest. Players' politics. All of it is specific to this London club. the strain. the needs. Potter is currently expecting everything that sucked AVB in and spit him out in less than nine months. For the former manager of Brighton, things only get worse.

The board meddling Potter is currently dealing with didn't exist in AVB. Todd Boehly, the club's maverick co-owner, reportedly wanted to discuss formations (a "4-4-3"no less) with Thomas Tuchel. Argued that Edouard Mendy should be withdrawn from the frontline. And scoffed at his former manager's claims that having Wesley Fofana undergo his medical in New York would only put back his integration... those problems, that interference, well they're now Potter's.

But this can cut both ways. As Potter - and his lack of experience - will be a problem for Chelsea. He's learning on the run. And for a team... better yet, a club... in such a transition, there's sure to be more troughs than peaks this season.

As we say, everything is new for Potter. By his own admission, Wednesday night against RB Salzburg was a first in terms of Champions League experience. Not as a manager nor a guest, nor even a fan, had Potter taken in a Champions League game before. It does smack of the level he has been working at, that over his time in the game, Potter never had need to attend a Champions League match. Not to check on a potential signing. Nor run his eye over a future opponent. It never came up. Indeed, it's puzzling, for all the 'coaching super brain' claims we've had since his appointment, that Potter, even out of professional curiousity - or indeed preparation - never thought of attending a Champions League fixture..

John-Terry has enrolled on a FIFA diploma course for football club executives

John Terry, a former defender for Chelsea, enrolled in a FIFA club executives diploma program and has since begun a career in football club management.
Following a brief stint with Aston Villa and his retirement from the sport in 2018, Terry has focused on executive roles in the industry.

The former England captain joins other ex-professionals like Fernandinho, Juan Mata, and Tim Cahill who are trying to establish themselves in the growing commercial side of sports.

It's crucial for me to continue learning with CEOs that work in football around the world and to exchange experiences with them.

"Since retiring, I've always yearned to learn more, advance my knowledge, and be prepared for what lies ahead, and I think that being a part of this club management diploma will help me out significantly in that process.'

Terry is set to join the second edition of FIFA's diploma in club management alongside Fabio Cannavaro and Philippe Senderos following the inaugural edition of the course that was held last year.

Since Thomas Tuchel's departure, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said it has been a "wild week."
After Chelsea's poor 1–1 Champions League match with RB Salzburg on Wednesday evening, Aubameyang said to Hayters TV: "Everyone is aware of my relationship with Thomas. When someone leaves the club, it is always sad. Of course, I just saw him for a few days.

'When you play football you have to adapt very quickly to some moments in the season, this can happen.

'I think it’s a bit of sadness at the moment, hopefully we’ll get back to better days soon. Obviously, I think it’s a bit strange for everybody, not only for me, but as I said, this is football, you have to adapt.

'When you play for Chelsea you need results as soon as possible, that’s why I’m a bit frustrated today.'

With Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku both returning to previous haunts RB Leipzig and Inter respectively, Aubameyang was brought in at the last minute by Tuchel to reinforce the Blues' forward line.

Chelsea remain winless in this season's Champions League after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Salzburg

Graham Potter's first game as head coach ended in a 1-1 draw for Chelsea at home against Salzburg, meaning they are still winless in the Champions League this year.

Last week, in the Blues' opening Group E meeting against Dinamo Zagreb, they suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat, which turned out to be Thomas Tuchel's final game as manager.

When Raheem Sterling opened the scoring against Salzburg with Chelsea's first shot on goal in the second half, Potter's reign appeared to be off to a winning start.

However, Salzburg, who defeated Milan last week and are currently unbeaten in nine games across all competitions, fought back through Noah Okafor in the 75th minute, leaving Potter and his team disappointed.

Chelsea midfielder and Italy international Jorginho, has named his fellow teammates as the reason for Thomas Tuchel’s sacking last week.

Jorginho, a midfielder for Chelsea and an international for Italy, has claimed that Thomas Tuchel's firing last week was due to the actions of his teammates.

Last Wednesday, a day after the Blues' 1-0 Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb, Tuchel was fired.

Graham Potter, a former Brighton manager, has taken over as Tuchel's manager at Chelsea, but Jorginho has now stated that the team was startled by the dismissal of Tuchel.

But he also said that the squad shared some of the guilt.

We are a team, so of course [the players are also accountable]. There is more than one individual accountable for what took place. Since we were the entire team on the field, we must be held accountable for what occurred. We made an effort to do what we could and improve on what could  go better. Unfortunately, it wasn’t working. The challenge now is to rebuild confidence,” Jorginho told a news conference on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League game against FC Salzburg.
